Note and reflections:
This fine morning makes tennis fun. I take Eric along to play with us. Eric is a son of a friend. He is in his second grade and very talkative. He just starts, so he cannot control the racquet; though he tries hard. It is just a relax tennis this morning. Let hit about 45 mins or so... just a bit short but SM and Eric have to leave for other commitments.

After shopping with P'P', P' Lek and I throw Frisbee at the Point for awhile. Throwing Frisbee in rain is fun and found that there is a speed date (Chinese student Activity) going on.... hmmm... I found out that one of my friend is participating in the event. Finishing Frisbee, I run a bit before coming back to make my first Blueberry Cake. Well, the cake tastes fine except that it's burned. I believe that because of a string oven. I don't know why my oven is too strong and maybe it cannot set temperature. The cake surface is burned. I will try to make banana cake next time. Anyway, the run is great after four rest days.

Week 13 Thursday - Morning leg cramp

Note and reflections:
It was about 6:30 in the morning. Being in a half-awake-half-sleep state, I stretched my right leg out, and a painful leg cramp hurt me so much that I YELLED (very loud, I believe). Hey, my eyes still closed, though, (I am an expert on this). I was trying to change my position to reduce the pain.... Then, the pain went away so I went back to a deep sleep again.... That cramp still leaves a sore calf, which feels firm. It is not that bad, but it is a bit annoying. This annoying calf in a junction with a long lab meeting this evening results in another rest day. Three rest days makes this week usual.

Back to the leg cramp. I think that it is a result from a bit dehydration yesterday and possibly a late night (I was watching a Thai political TV talk). I hope that this will go away tomorrow morning. I thought that I stretched enought last night. I am pretty sure..dehydration was the cause... Hmmm.. I need to watch out for hydration; no slacking off anymore. Though it might be just a result from changing a position of my feet/toes, I blame dehydration.

By the way, a discussion today pushed my lunch to around 4:30p....

Ya-wen come to play with us for the last time before she hands her racquet to Lingling. It has been very long since she played last. The court is hot and humid, but we have fun hitting the balls. It is a good game.

Today, I forgot to bring my workout clothes, and I had lot of work to be wrapped up. Also, the meeting pushes me too late for the squash. Anyway, after the meeting I rush to the quad, but P' Tee and P' Lek is already finishing the game. P' Tee hit himself at his right knee.

I come back to lab to work... It is too hot and humid anyway.. Just another rest day.

Today the heat blasts with high humidity. By the time I get off for the run, it has been very hot. I feel the heat very strong. On the returning lag, I am so tired, really soaked up by heat and sweat. Kevin and Dan dip themselves into the lake near 51st street. I leave them there.
